The Industry Of Ladies Shoes

08 Jan

In 2008, billions of dollars were spent on cute ladies shoes. It is significant that in 2009, with all the troubles with the economy, industry receipts were almost unaffected. Furthermore, fashion shoes make up a great part of the total sales, exploding any theory that holds that necessities come first.

Shoes are a necessity in the western world, where very few go barefooted and those who do are mainly children during the hot summers. In other parts of the world, shoes constitute a luxury and there are many women who may not have a single pair. However, in other regions, women own many pairs of shoes and some may even have more than they can ever wear out.

Statistics vary on the amount of money spent on shoes, with online figures giving a total ranging from five billion to eleven billion for the year 2009. One of the largest segments as far as growth is concerned is the large shoe category, as manufacturers realize that there are many women with oversize feet. High heels make up a large category, with medium-sized spike heeled shoes outselling flats, and extreme spikes running not far behind the less elevated styles.

This may be because designer ladies shoes are often created with very high heels, both in shoes and boots, and for day wear as well as night outs. A pair of Stuart Weitzman shoes or boots can be regarded as a bargain if they run under five hundred dollars. Designers use everything from calf skin to gold and diamonds to create shoes that celebrities and the rich will pay top prices for.

Of course, there are many ladies who need less fashionable shoes, designed more for comfort and the workplace than for the top of fashion. These women wear styles with names that denote comfort, a cushioned effect, a wider width for hours of work, and maybe even non-slip soles for safety reasons. Athletic shoes are another big seller, since many women jog, run, play tennis or golf, ride bikes, or work out at the gym. There are also dance shoes made for today’s active women.

Ladies shoes add up to big business, and the love of shoes seems to be part of the feminine nature.

Fashion Perks for Everyone

08 Nov

When you’re feeling down and in the dumps, one way to perk you up is to wear something that is bright and colorful to lift up your spirits and welcome hope and happiness back into your life. Others may opt to match a dreary outfit using a bright bag or some killer accessories, and still some others may opt to wear something daring yet highly fashionable such as turquoise shoes, or any other bright color to that effect.

Turquoise high heel shoes are one of the must haves a woman should find in her closet. I for one have these shoes, aside from other countless accessories such as bracelets and necklaces of the same color. You see, turquoise can match any outfit or skin color – it can be for something laid back such as the beach and it can also be for something sexy and daring such as in a posh club. In addition, it sparks an interest to other people as the color itself is quite alluring, thus adding an extra oomph to your strut as well as your confidence. It can attract a lot of stares as you walk down the street and it can also be a flattering piece of color to your current ensemble.

For shoes, it can be great with a pair of skinny jeans or even a short skirt or shorts. Dress up with some make up and a floral blouse and you’re good to go. Of if you want to be more demure, then a dress that reaches to your knees will go nicely with a pair of turquoise heels. It’s pretty much up to you on how you want to dress up or pair up your outfit, as long as you remember to wear something comfortable and it suits your body perfectly.

Heel High Shoes Can Wear Thin

17 Jun

You have heard the advice when it comes to heel high shoes right? Never wear a pair of heel high shoes for more than three hours if you have never worn them before. Most of us have heard this advice, although the three hour time limit is subjective, of course. Some women who have never worn heel high shoes can simply put them on and can wear them for 10 hours, while some women simply cannot even handle them for 30 minutes.

But what about advice for the women who have been wearing heel high shoes for years and years. Is there anything they can learn? Well, for starters, heel high shoes can wear thin at the heel. Sounds pretty obvious, right? But if you were go into your closet right now and check your heel high shoes, you would find that many of them have worn down at least a quarter-inch and you never even knew it was happening. The concerning factor has nothing to do with whether or not you are now shorter than you were when you first bought the heel high shoes. Rather, the main concern is whether or not your heels have worn down evenly or not.

If they have not worn down evenly then you need to toss them out and buy a new pair. There is nothing more dangerous to your feet and legs than to be wearing a pair of heel high shoes that are unevenly balanced, even by a quarter inch. It wil harm to your balance (you can have a hard fall) and it does not help your posture either.

How can you avoid the wearing affect of your heel high shoes? To be honest, it is just part of the game. Just like flat shoes or sandals, the more you walk in them the sooner they will wear down. If shoes never wore down then most shoe companies would be out of business because you would be wearing the same shoe forever.
