Presents that mean more to women

Last Christmas I got my girlfriend a gift card to Express, a pretty trendy spot and a place that I know she loves to shop at.  Worst idea ever.  I blew over $300 on the gift card and she did not react at all how I expected.  $300!  I couldn’t believe it, and then I talked to one of my friends who is a girl and she was surprised by how naïve I was.  Naïve?  I didn’t understand, and so she explained to me that my girlfriend didn’t really care how much the gift card had on it, she just recognized it as a sign that I didn’t know her at all and didn’t understand her style.  This then sort of made sense to me, so I decided to do a little experiment the next time around. 

Instead of spending $300, I spent half, on a brand new pair of rain boots that had been recommended to me by that same friend.  I have to admit, they looked pretty cool and after I bought them I noticed a lot of really trendy and stylish girls walking around in similar types of boots.  I found them in a winter boots for women section of a magazine to order them, and it was also my girlfriend’s magazine!  Anyway, after I gave her my gift she was completely ecstatic and couldn’t believe I knew what I was doing.  She expected another gift card and instead, she told me she was “impressed with my sense of fashion”.  Haha, what a turn around.  This was life changing for me as I had always viewed products value as directly related to the amount of money it takes to attain that product.  I have learned since that women carry much more sentimental value in the things they wear and use.

Five False Truths with the Black Leather Purse

The use of leather purses has been evident centuries ago by women who wanted to portray and exude a sense of wealth and prestige in society. Nowadays, this is freely used by commoners and elites alike and enjoyed by anyone who has one of these black beauties. In relation to this accessory, here are some common false beliefs which must be clarified.

Black leather purses together with black shoes only. This is a common mistake among many individuals, perhaps by those who were already strut their stuff during the 80’s. It was as this time when black shoes were the in-style for those who wanted to make a mark in the social setting. However, we are already about 3 decades further in time and that notion has been history. It still goes well with other kinds of footwear.

Monochrome outfit is the way. There was also a time when fashion veered to monochromatic attires, in which black leather handbags were the main accessory to use. While it may be a cool and balanced way of coordination colors, the present fashion sense does not limit these little black things to be used with any other color. In fact, mixing it with other colors present a high degree of adaptability to the overall get-up.

Plastic is the best protection. Many are falsely led to believe that by covering the black leather purses with a water resistant material such as plastic would protect it from damage. This is quite contrary. Plastic still allows moisture to build up within and prevents it from frying out, causing spots and fungal infestation. Allow it to breathe and use cloth instead.

Only leather craftsmen can fix cracks. Thanks to modern technology, rubber cement has been found out to be a quick solution to seal off cracks on leather due to wear and tear. This saves you the hassle of bringing it to a shop to have it fixed, as well as expense.

A black leather purse are for women. This is actually not the case anymore as Europe and some parts of Asia have started making black leather purses for men, and is slowly gaining a following.
